Deva Technologies, Inc. (“Deva,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Genie mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Genie.
Information We Collect
Account Information. When you create an account through Deva single sign-on (SSO), we receive your name, email address, and authentication identifiers. We do not store your SSO password.
Conversation Data. Messages you send to and receive from your AI assistant are processed to provide the Service. Conversations are stored in your private, isolated cloud workspace. We do not use your conversation content to train AI models.
Audio Data. If you use voice input, audio is processed in real-time for transcription purposes only. Audio recordings are not stored after transcription is complete.
Usage Data. We collect anonymous usage metrics such as session duration, feature usage, and crash reports to maintain and improve the Service. We do not sell or share this data with third parties for advertising purposes.
Workspace Data. Files and data created by or through your AI assistant are stored in your private, sandboxed cloud environment. Only you can access your workspace.
Payment Information. Payment processing is handled by Stripe and through Apple App Store and Google Play in-app purchase mechanisms. We do not collect or store your payment card details. We receive only transaction confirmations and subscription status from these payment processors.
Device Information. We collect basic device information (device model, operating system version, app version) for compatibility, troubleshooting, and service improvement.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- To process your AI assistant requests and manage your workspace
- To manage your account, subscriptions, and credit balance
- To improve app performance, reliability, and user experience
- To communicate important service updates and security notices
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or technical issues
- To comply with legal obligations
Data Ownership
All content generated, stored, and processed within your Genie workspace belongs entirely to you. This includes your configurations, conversation history, files, and any data created through your AI assistant. We claim no ownership rights over your content.
Isolated Infrastructure
Each user’s workspace runs in its own sandboxed environment, isolated from all other users. There are no shared resources or cross-account data access. This architecture ensures your data remains private and secure.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure using industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). Access to production systems is restricted, audited, and follows the principle of least privilege.
Data Retention
Your conversation history and workspace data are retained as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, all associated data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.
Third-Party Services
Genie uses the following third-party services to provide functionality:
Anthropic (Claude AI) — Your messages are sent to Anthropic’s API for AI processing. Anthropic’s privacy policy applies to data processed by their models. You may also connect your own Anthropic API key, in which case your usage is governed directly by your agreement with Anthropic.
Groq — Used for audio transcription when voice input is enabled. Audio data is processed in real-time and not retained.
Stripe — Used for payment processing. Stripe’s privacy policy governs payment data handling.
Apple / Google — In-app purchases are processed through their respective platforms and governed by their privacy policies.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We only share information with service providers necessary to operate Genie (such as AI, infrastructure, analytics, and payment providers), and only to the extent required for service delivery.
Your Rights
You may:
- Access, update, or delete your account data
- Request export of your workspace data
- Request permanent deletion of your account and all data
- Opt out of non-essential service communications

Children’s Privacy
Genie is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International Users
Your data may be processed and stored in countries outside your own. By using Genie, you consent to such cross-border data transfers where permitted by law.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If material changes are made, we will notify you through the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
